Laron nervously stepped up onto the arena, which was still pockmarked with the explosions Spectre had caused to it.
“You have a mother?” Vincent muttered as Spectre sat back down in their dugout. The being did not respond.
“Well, your up big guy” Vincent patted Characo's flank, “Try not to eat him will ya?”
Characo growled, the first aggressive thing he'd done today, “It'll be fine no matter how it ends, got it?”

“I don't know” Vincent growled as he paced back and forth, once again trying to figure a way out this situation; same as he'd been doing ever since he'd accidentally teamed up with a being he had long associated with its stalking and harassment over the many millenia that had passed since Chance's world had disappeared.
“Well we can't just team up with it! You remember what it did to our arm right?” Characo barked, clearly having lost his nerves since Vincent informed him of their unfortunate situation.

A wind; heavy, oppressive and all encompassing, was all that remained of the massive explosion that had rocked the plain Spectre stood upon but moments ago. The air that had been forced away from the center of the nuclear device's detonation now rushed back into the void the burst of fissile power had created. It swept over Spectre, pulling at his coat, causing his loose belt buckle to jingle like a wind chime as the being processed recent events.
The clinking of Spectre's belt beating against itself somehow stood out despite the rush of the air over
